The most delectable quote of feminism is, IMHO,
“what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”

Although it would seem to apply to the goose & goose
and the gander & gander, as well. And as my friend said

last weekend in St. Louis, the non-binary gender movement
is sort of making all that irrelevant.

So, we can now break it down thusly:
what’s good for you is good for me.

Which is much more intimate anyway
and to the point.

The longing in me is the longing in you,
the tears in me are the tears in you.

What you want from me is what I want from you;
maybe what’s stopping you is what’s stopping me.

What you fear is what I fear.
What you can say about me, I can say about you.

You find your way; I find my way.
The clock strikes you. The clock strikes me.

You have your boundaries and I have mine.
Doubts come all alone or they come in pairs or even in threes.

The other side of the mirror is my face
and it is not my face.

The other side of the window is your face
and it is not your face.

The boomerang comes to me as it comes to you
and leaves the same way.

What frustrates you about me…
Well, you can now see.

And it will only be that magic deviation
that will set us free.
